Default Advice for file organization please

Hello, I am new to android and Galaxy Note. I have a few questions:

1. I have 16GB on my Note and a 16GB memory card.
What is the best file organization? Should I store everything
in the Note's 16GB memory first before moving to the memory card?
Alternatively, should I install Apps on the internal memory while
music, video, photo files on the memory card?

2. In Kies air, under file explorer, I see /sdcard with subfolders
Android, Application, bluetooth, DCIM, download, Evernote,
external_sd, lookout, LOST.DIR, media, Music, Samsung,
samsungapps, ScreenCapture, ShareViaWifi, usbStorage,
Videomaker.

a) Which directory corresponds to the sd memory card?
b) What is usbStorage?
c) What is the difference between /sdcard and external_sd?
Inside external_sd, there is a LOST.DIR directory.

Thank you.

The external_sd folder takes you to the MicroSD card.

I have put music on the MicroSD card and also the camera takes photos to MicroSD.

If I get tight for space I may move other stuff but not yet needed.

PS Be careful if buying replacement MicroSD as I had loads of trouble with Class 10 cards - Class 4 works perfectly.

Can I set default directories? For example, whenever I take photos and videos, all the files go directly to the MicroSD automatically.

In the Galaxy Note, is it easy to move individual file or a set of files from folders to folders?

I recall reading that some apps can automatically find the files they need. For example, some pdf/ebook reader apps can find and list all the pdf and ebook files automatically regardless of where you store it. Is this feature available in all Android apps or just a few special ones?

Thanks.

Within settings for the Camera you can set the MicroSD as the default storage, just keep scrolling down the list.
