Default how to disable proximity sensor during calls?

When I place a call over wi-fi, the wi-fi connection will just drop once the screen blanks out.

How do I disable the proximity sensor from turning off the screen?

Since my phone does not do this, I can only assume that you have some battery saver installed. I would recommend that you check the settings of that program. If yoi don't have such an app installed, turn off power saving in the settings. That should help.
