Default Galaxy Note lights up after lock

I'm facing a problem. Please help if you know any solutions to it.

I've set my Note in a way such that on home screen, when i slide up, it will lock the phone. I don't want to abuse the lock button at the side that will eventually (maybe) gets faulty like the home button on iPhones.

But ever since I upgraded to the latest update of ICS on my Note, whenever I slide up to lock on home screen. Right after it blacked out, it will light up to the lock screen again. I will have to press the lock button on the side to make it go away. Which totally defeats the purpose of why I set it such a way in the first place. If you have any solution or able to give some advice, please do. Thanks in advance

I have a similar issue using Screen Off And Lock. Hopefully they do an update to fix this.
