Default How to turn on and off 3G?

Hello, I use free wifi at school often. Occasionally, at places without free wifi, I need to use 3G. Could anybody please let me knows how to turn on and off 3G? Obviously, I don't want to keep 3G on all the time to save money. Thanks.

Press and hold the power key and a menu will pop up, you can then disable/enable mobile data as you wish.

And if that's too much effort, you can place a widget to a homescreen and turn off/on 3G with a single tap.

I find it useful to have on my home screen a "Settings shortcut" widget linked to the "Data usage" settings screen.

You don't need to go to the Play Store for this. It is one of the built-in widgets.

The Data usage screen has a slider at the top to turn Mobile data on and off. There is also useful information about how much data each app has used and you can set a limit to prevent the phone going over your Mobile data usage allowance.
