Default just brought another galaxy note

hi everyone,
i just got a 2nd galaxy note, it has Android 2.3 on it, im a bit wary of updating it as updating my last one killed it and turned it into an expensive paper weight, will the phone work ok if i dont update the new one?

You couldn't wait for the Note II so the price of the current one can drop.

Yes, absolutely nothing wrong if u dont update , but if you do the update to 4.0.3 via kies - You will get all the new cool things,

You seriously spent $500 on a Note 1?
Why not just get the Note 2 when it's released soon?
