Default Note has been hicupping

Last 2 weeks my phone has been "hiccuping" for a lack of better description.
basically it would freeze for a second or 2 than continue as normal

Not sure what app I installed lately that might have caused my current problem. Or it might be process I turned off ( I did turn off Kies Air)

The worst side affect of the hiccup is that it disconnects from my WIFI.
At home this is not an issue since the wifi password is saved, it auto-reconnects by itself with no manual intervention.
I am NOT sure if the disconnect is a result because of the hiccup or another symptom that started happening at the same time due to the same cause.

But when I am at work, I have to constantly re-sign into the network after it disconnects. The cisco wifi requires a new certificate each time and a manual login is required

Any experts on here have any suggestions on what I should do?

Thanks in advance

If you believe that an app you've downloaded is what's responsible for the glitches, try starting the unit up in Safe Mode. This will launch it with only the very basic software in the phone (nothing you've downloaded and all setting at the original factory default)

Power the Galaxy Note off.

Press and hold the Power button to turn the device on.

Once you see the animation on the screen, continuously tap the Menu button.

Once the device loads the Android OS, you should see the words “Safe Mode” appear in the lower-left corner of the home screen. (You may have to unlock the screen to see these words.) If you don’t see them, turn the Galaxy Note off and try again.

To get out of safe mode, power the unit off and then on again.

If the unit is still acting up, try resetting it. Just call " *2767*3855# "
