Default Is it possible to set apps on lock screen?

Seems to be an option for the Note 2 but don't see where there's one of the Note 1. Is it possible?

Download a new lockscreen app like Widget Locker. It will let you unlock to multiple places (eg. left to camera, up to Google Search, right to home) and will let you add widgets.

Widget Locker is what you need. You can place apps on the lock screen, just tested it out.

See, I wasn't making it up. I have it installed on both of my Notes, but have used it on every Android phone I've owned.

I found widget locker seemed to eat my battery. Or it was something else and I misdiagnosed it.
But I really liked widget locker. Might try it again.
