Same problem.

Hello all, at this time I'm trying my new Samsung Galaxy pocket gt-s5300. I have unfortunately noticed a problem. After several minutes of inactivity (sometimes 15 times in a few hours) I no longer have access to the display. The phone appears to be off (or blocked). It 'happened again tonight. I left it on and this morning I had to press the power button for a long time. Only then (after a few seconds) the phone is switched on.
I also did the second test by changing the SIM and precisely yesterday I tried the phone with my SIM Vodafone 64k, then another 256K SIM Italian Post Office, and finally with another 128K SIM Vodafone. Same results.

What could it be? And 'the case that asks the seller to return the phone?
Thanks in advance for your answer

i had the same problem, i switched off the packet data download, the problem stopped, try switching off the background apps to reduce battery consumption, when you leave it on standby mode

Someone more in the know might be able to confirm this, but what I did was...

Settings
About Phone
Software Update

The first time I tried this the update was not successful. However the second time a 20 mb upgrade package was downloaded and installed. It went smoothly till about 88% and then stayed there for a few minutes, and dragged through the last of the install. Then it took a few minutes to finalize.

Currently showing Android 2.3.6
Kernal Number 2.6.35.7

We'll see how this goes.
