Default Is there a way to download apps straight to SD card?

I've tried to see if this was addressed in any other threads for the Precedent, but I haven't found anything yet.

I rooted my phone this morning specifically to get rid of apps like Think Free, Books, and even Youtube (I never use Youtube). I've managed the root (a miracle, really), and installed Titanium Backup (finally) and got all those useless apps deleted. I went ahead and deleted Facebook and tried to reinstall with the idea that I would just move it to my SD card and hopefully free up a good portion of that 20mb. Nope. I can't move it. I can only uninstall. I'd really rather keep using the official FB app instead of another one and I'm afraid this is going to be the case with other apps I deleted that I want to reinstall (Gmail, Google Maps, etc.).

So here is my question: Is there a way to download apps like Facebook straight to my SD card? Or alternately, does Titanium (free version) have an option to move apps?

Thanks for any help!

Apps have to be installed. Just putting the app's apk file in the phone won't let you run the app.

Some apps won't install to the SD card, although you could try Link2SD (it's free) and tell it to install all apps to the SD card.

Or you could flash a ROM that gives you more room, like Cyanogen or Area51.

The Samsung Galaxy Precedent is an entry level device for Straight Talk. Unlike some of it's Galaxy S cousins, you wont find some of the higher end "Galaxy S" features and it doesn't have the familiar TouchWhiz interface seen on s... Read More
