Activating phone?

Okay, so I bought this phone off somebody, not knowing it was a tracfone. I didn't know the little symbol above the navigation menu was a tracfone logo, but anyways. I only received the phone, no serial ID # or anything..how do I activate this? Or do I not need to?

I am not sure if this is the answer to your dilemma, but I do know that you can go to tracfone.com and it will instruct you on how to register your tracfone account/phone, and assign you a phone number upon completion of opening your account. Hope that helps you.

Do I go to tracfone.com, or straighttalk.com? It's supposedly a straighttalk phone.

But when I click to activate on straighttalk I need a "14, 15 or 18 digit Serial Number/IMEI/ MEID DEC"

Well then it might be best to go talk to the Straight Talk rep, and get a little more info about how that would work with a tracfone.
