Yes. The feature is called Private Messaging. Or PM for short. Click on the name of the person that you'd like to contact and then follow through, you might have to go to profile or something. You do need a minimum number of posts before PM is opened up for you. This is to counter advertizes/spammers signing up and PMing everyone about their services, etc.
