ive been having trouble getting the boot sound to work on my prevail and i finally found the solution you need to rename the PowerOn_standard.snd file to poweron.wav and it needs to be in system/etc then Reboot phone and it should work for those having trouble with the sound syncing to the animation just remake the sound file and leave a couple of seconds blank then it should work.
