Default Using as a donor phone

My brother in-law bought a Sanyo Innuendo so he could flash his evo 4g to boost problem is the innuendo can't be used as a donor for this.

I have a Galaxy prevail, its my daily phone (rooted and running cm7) question is would i be able to have boost
1. put my information on his innuendo
2. put his information on my prevail
3. use my prevail as his donor phone for his evo 4g
4. take my info from the innuendo and put it back on to my prevail and continue being used with my original phone number?

Any knowledgeable insight would be greatly appreciated.

Innuendo cannot be used. We haven't figured it out. If someone has please clue me in.

You can use the prevail to be the donor to his 4g. That part we've kinda gotten the hang of. Only problem is that once used as a donor the prevails tend to die. Wont get past the samsung screen. You can claim warranty and see if they'll revive it for you.

If you have a working prevail after giving up the info to the 4g and you want to flash the prevail to be able to do something... that part is still kinda not working. We've gotten as far as to get voice... but 3g is very spotty. Unbearably spotty. But even if you're satisfied with voice... it'd be hard to get the innuendo to be the donor. Read first paragraph.
Mountain Dew makes me happy.
If I've helped you, a thank you would be cool.

Actually, cloning a phone... (using both devices at the same time) is illegal and also against the tos...

This thread is about flashing a phone to another carrier... there are actually a few active threads in other sections talking about this exact same thing... I think this falls into the grey area... provided you don't use the info for phone cloning

Cloning a sheep not illegal but cloning a phone is.

Seems our priorities are out of whack ...

The Samsung Galaxy Prevail is an entry level device for Boost Mobile. Unlike some of it's Galaxy S cousins, you wont find some of the higher end "Galaxy S" features and it doesn't have the familiar TouchWhiz interface seen on so m... Read More
