The Samsung Proclaim is my first smart phone and I couldn’t be more pleased with this mid-level phone. All the features are working as expected (and sometimes better) with only one minor exception. On occasion my computer won’t recognize my phone unless I power down the phone and restart it. This is not a big deal to me so yes I’m pleased. I use the Straight Talk service on Verizon and in our area (Shenandoah Valley of Va.) the service is very good. Sprint and Verizon at likely the best in our area. The 3G always connects and brings me the web even faster than my PC in some cases. Great job Samsung / Straight Talk.

I just got one too. Its my second smart phone. I upgraded to the proclaim from the optimus net. I ADORED that lg. But sprint is tiny and their data speeds are terrible. And going from an 800mhz to a 1000mhz processor makes a huge difference. But yes, this phone is awesome. If this is a midlevel device I would love to experiment with a high end one.

Coming up on two months with my Proclaim and it is still running great. I got a chance to play with an S3 and there is a huge difference in size but compactness of the Proclaim has its advantages if you carry it on a belt clip as I do. I’m thinking a phone like the S3 with its size would be great in a woman’s purse but for a guy caring it on a belt clip it could be in the way quite a lot. Yea the Proclaim is a great phone at its price range.

i myself just got a proclaim as well, for my first smartphone i am very impressed with it.
use the foxfi app to connect to my laptop.
there really is a app for everything it seems.
