Galaxy 4G S randomly deleting email accounts

I've had my Galaxy 4G S for about 6 weeks now... I have 2 email accounts hooked up - an MS Exchange Active Synch account and my Gmail account.
Problem is that my MS Exchange account automatically gets deleted about once per week. (My Gmail is never affected).
It's driving me crazy!
I'm only synching about 1 weeks worth of email (any more and the phone is basically unusable since I get about 200+ per day). Anyone have any ideas? I've read around that people had similar issues 2 years ago, but i have to imagine the software has been patched since then!
Please help - this is so damn frustrating!

Did you manage to resolve the issue?

I have a Galaxy S3 with an exchange account and 2 other imap accounts, and in my case, the imap accounts get deleted about once a day or so (I typically sync much more often than this...). So far I could not link that to any particular setting.

The only other apps which sync are Xing and Google contacts.

Any help or similar experience more than welcome, this is kind of a showstopper for using such a device...

For info: device is a GT-l9300 with Android 4.0.4
