Samsung Galaxy S 4g (sprint sph-d700)
Total newb here.
Recently my phone (Samsung Galaxy S 4g (sprint sph-d700)) started crashing randomly. After doing so it would take about 15-20 minutes to boot up and would be frozen with a wrong date and time. The only way to reboot it being pulling the battery. After many many attempts it would finally boot as normal.
After a recent occurrence of this, my phone never recovered. I found a video of how to put it into recovery mode, and succeeded. The problem is, although I can scroll through the options none of the buttons on the phone work to actually choose an option. The phone is now stuck in this mode and reboots to it with the same problem.
I have perused many threads and videos online but can't seem to find any that match my model and problem. I've downloaded odin 1.85 and samsung kies but they don't seem to be able to find my phone. Granted, i have no idea what I'm doing.
The closest thing I found was a video on youtube with the following steps:
Plug USB into computer
Remove battery and SD card from phone
Plug USB into phone while holding down both volume buttons
Puts phone into download mode. (didn't work for me)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
