Default Google Talk question

Hi everybody! Just got my Relay last night. Very nice upgrade over the HTC G2 I was using. I use Google Talk a lot for texting, and its a totally different version that what the G2 had on it. I'm not finding any such option on the Relay. Any assistance would be appreciated.
