Default Accessing phone memory from PC

I've read the varoius USB-related threads here, but can't find a hit for my specific problem. When I connect the Galaxy to my XP PC, the PC recognizes two additional drives, but the only one that seems to have anything attached to it is the drive that's assigned to the SD card - When I try to access the other drive (presumably the phone's internal storage), it tells me to "Please insert a disk into drive ..."

I've only got a 2G SD card - I'd like to utilize the phone's internal storage, too....

Edit 1 - Incidently, when I go to Settings>SD Card and phone storage on the Galaxy, both Total and Available space are "unavailable" for my SD card and phone storage - That strikes me as odd...

Edit 2 - NM. I bounced the phone and can see the internal storage on my PC now.
