Default No radio on Asian version ??

Hi guys,
I currently have a Asain Galaxy S model, it has DMB here for TV and radio that scans through the DMB menu, but it only has 10 or so radio channels that are throughtout the city, popular ones.

Is there anyway to get a regular radio app like on the U.S. models on my player?? It sucks not being able to tune into a channel

Thanks

if you are referring to Samsung SHW-M110S (the south Korean version of Galaxy S), it does seem to have a standard FM radio as well. Not sure if there are any other versions of Galaxy S out there with a DMB TV tuner and No radio, not surprising if there is though..., since there are so many already . I have the regular galaxy S (no TV), To access the radio there is a separate FM Radio icon in the main menu. Sorry for not being able to help much.

Hi,
yeah its really strange. It has DMB tv and I believe, digital radio with just 10 or so of the countries radio channels, but no radio icon in the menu
Would there be a firmware or something I could flash to access FM radio?
Youd think the hardware would be inside. There is an antenna and everything for the DMB

Why don't you contact Samsung ?, they should be able to let you know whether or not its supported in your country/region.

Don't see why it should matter. Not like it's made by North Korea or smth. (Think they ban radios up there...)

Have you tried performing a hard reset or firmware update?

Unfortunately yes. Astro File Manager can backup some of your apps, but usually only the ones you download from the market (so no backup for contacts, sms, mini diary, etc.) Seems like you can backup Asphalt though.
