Default Sending SMS messages via PC

Hi, I've recently got a Samsung Galaxy S.

On my old Nokia, I used to be able to send and read SMS messages on the PC Sync software.

Is it possible to send SMS messages from my PC via the Galaxy S, or even just via Android in general?

Thanks

closest to sending SMS from PC is by wifi keyboard, you'll be able to connect to your phone and use your computers keyboard on it via the wifi network.

here's the app: WiFi Keyboard - Android app on AppBrain

Anyone have a walk-through on how to connect that App?

...I enabled WiFi Keyboard in settings, and also as my input method. However, whenever I attempt to enter the numerical URL (IP?) in my browser, it just times out. What am I doing wrong??

First make sure that your computer and phone are on the same network. Phone has to be connected to wifi not 3g.

Second make sure to enter the full address as shown on the phone "http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxx"

Try using different browsers, IE, Firefox, Chorme....

Take a look at PhoneLeash ... receive and reply to SMS via email

Here's a powerpoint video

Result looks like this (threads are generally preserved in Gmail, as Gmail conversations)
