Wink New task manager from Samsung Apps

Not sure how long it's been up, but Samsung has released a new version of the task manager. Download it from Samsung apps (from your phone). Changes include a new tab called RAM. You can now clear up your RAM according to two levels.

I recommend that you only use Level 1 since level 2 kills some essential apps (like your widgets), meaning that they have to be relaunched again, consuming power and CPU cycles.

Well the first tab is just like your average task killer, except it doesn't allow you to kill background processes. The second tab allows you to uninstall apps without going into settings. The 3rd tab as I said allows you to clear up your RAM by killing apps and background processes. The 4th tab..., well, just click on it.

Btw, it's a widget. So you need to add it to your home screen first.

You can get it if it's listed in your "Samsung Apps" App.
Probably isn't available in your version of the galaxy

It's there in mine. The updated date reads 13 Sep!

My girlfriend has a galaxy s. She does not need to use a task killer at all, and her phone is always faster than my desire.

Have a read of this: http://www.droid-den.com/android-guides/android-guide-should-i-use-a-task-killer

I upgraded just then and it's fine. A new tab called ram manage comes up.

Personally, I don't find killing apps an issue at all rather it's the cpu/heavy multi-tasking that makes things lag.

You can uninstall the old Task Manager with Titanium Backup and install the new 1 yourself.

The apk can be found at XDA: Samsung Apps Task Manager update - Page 2 - xda-developers
