My phone freezes up when I leave the camera app open for an extended period or when i turn off the display with the camera app open. Nothing works except the power button and the only recourse is to restart the phone.

i am using the native camera app fw version 2.2

I am a total noob to the android platform, having just switched from apple.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have the exact same behavior on TWO phones, on 2.1 AND 2.2. This can't be right...
