Default Can't see thumbnails on Samsung Galaxy S

I've got an annoying problem when looking at the files on my Samsung Galaxy S through my computer. I'm not using Kies - just directly accessing it through My Computer.

I have "view - large icons" selected but can't see the actual thumbnails and it's very annoying when organising files and photos. Files on my computer are fine, it's just the ones on my phone.

Here's what I mean: http://i52.tinypic.com/1zwkyvo.jpg

I've looked in folder settings on Windows and it's all fine in there. I can see thumbnails on my computer files anyway, I just can't see them when accessing my phone memory on the computer.

Anyone know what's going on? Is it supposed to do this?

Thanks
