Samsung Galaxy SGH-T959 -How to update the Software

I have got Samsung Galaxy SGH-T959 (T-Mobile,UK) running Froyo 2.2 version. The phone is unlocked and can be used on any mobile network. I was wondering how to update the software from Froyo to the latest android software available.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

The Samsung Galaxy SGG-T959 is also known as the Vibrant and is the T-Mobile US version of the Galaxy S. The latest available firmware is 2.2 (UVKA7).
Any further updates are solely down to whether T-Mobile in the US will ever approve any new firmware updates.

Ray- Thank you so much for the reply.
I have heard there is an update available and that is something to do manually. As I am new to android and dont understand the procedure and terms involve in it.

As I said previously, there isn't an official update for the T959. However, you can manually flash Gingerbread onto the phone thanks to the clever guys over on XDA developers. Full instructions can be found at [ROM] Get Android 2.3.5 for Samsung Vibrant T959 Dinesh Rathod
