Default How can I upgrade GT-I9000M to ICS?

Hello people.
I want to know how I can upgrade my Samsung galaxy GT-I9000M to Ice Cream Sandwich. All the instructions I have seen so far are for GT-I9000. I want somefor GT-I9000M. I am running firmware 2.3.3, build number: GINGERBREAD.GKG3.. My phone is unlocked and I am with Bell in Canada.
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums otsmog.
Unfortunately, there is no ICS coming directly from Samsung for your phone. In order to install 4.0, you will need to root and install a custom ROM like CM9.

I used this guide: Android 4.0.4 ROM Ported to Galaxy S i9000. Cheers!

It worked perfectly, just make sure you follow all steps. This will update your phone to Dark Knight's ICS custom ROM.

Cheers.

The question I have is that has anybody installed this custome rom on a GT-I9000M? Bcause the instruction seems to suggest that its just for GT-I9000 not the other variants of GT-I9000.
