I had a big problem activating it. Well, not so much a problem as it was a pain in the neck. After successfully swapping phones on the VM website, I attempted to activate the phone from the handset's "Hands Free Activation" .. over and over it said that activation was unsuccessful and to try again. I called VM customer service and they told me I needed to have 4G (which is absolutely not true so disregard that) and after talking to tech support they explained that:
After swapping the phone online the device may not activate over the air for a couple of hours.
All in all, the only problem I had was the phone would not activate for about one and a half hours after I swapped the phone online. If that happens to you, just wait everything will be fine
