Pretty much everything. Me and my wife are using vm. Her phone broke so her uncle gave her his old galaxy s 2. I'm trying to find out how to make it to where we can use it with virgin. I've heard people say it can and can't be done. If it requires rooting that's ok too.

I'm starting to think that it has not been done before.

If you're asking for someone to give you a guide to flash a Sprint phone to Virgin Mobile, that is highly illegal... possibly a federal crime.

In this case, flashing refers to the act of changing certain values/data on the phone to allow it to work on another network.

It is illegal because of the process in which it is done. I don't want to delve into the details any further. If this is something you're really interested in, maybe check a different forum (xda may be more helpful).

Nonetheless, it would be easier for you to just buy the Virgin Mobile branded Galaxy SII.

Easier yes but not everyone can afford to blow a couple hundred dollers on a phone. And you realize that they are trying to make rooting illigal as well? Would you refrane from rooting if that becomes the case ?
