Default 1500mah Battery from SG1 work with this phone?

Being the so called "geek" around these parts, people often bring me their busted or otherwise misbehaving phones to work on (reset, root, etc.) but sometimes I can only do so much and end up with quite the collection of misfit devices.
Well I have acquired two Samsung Galaxy S1's with otherwise still operational batteries. They look very similar (albeit thinner) to the 1800ish battery in the S2 that I currently use.
Not wanting to add another device to my pile, could I, or has anyone else tried to use this as a backup battery in an S2 yet? other than lower battery life duration I see it as a viable backup plan.

Thanks,

no. They are different phones, just the same company, but they probably use different voltages and such. I wanted to use my warp1 battery in my sequent, but sadly it's not an option, they are simialr phones, but different hardware/voltages etc..
