Default Moving from Atrix to SGS2 - Titanium backup?

Hi all,

I'm going to be moving from my Atrix to a SGS2. I currently use Titanium Backup with my Atrix (for all data, apps and settings) and I was wondering if I can transfer everything across with it? And if so, will it mess up settings on the SGS2?

Cheers

Don't restore settings, but apps and data should be fine.

One thing that caught me out - you'll have to go into TB's preferences and point it to your existing backup folder if it's on external SD card, as it expects /sdcard and that's the internal storage in the SGS2.

Ah, good point! I copied mine to internal SD from my external SD to work around that.

I do not recommend Titanium Backup. This only works from same phone same firmware. If you are to migrate the backup to diff rom or phone, you might corrupt the settings.

The solution is to sync your contact, schedule or sms to gmail so you wont have the migration problem.

Er, that information is quite incorrect.

Restoring apps and data across different handsets or firmwares works just fine - I must have done it hundreds of times by now.
