Default what do the first firmware letters mean?

Hey all,

Just wonderring what the difference is between say xxkg5 and jpkg5. Region?
What do the first two letters mean?

Yup, the first two-letter code indicates the intended locale (and therefore also the supported languages).

The network code (if present) determines the locale. I can't remember the locales/languages my own BV firmware supported but replacing it with any that support English (UK) will be fine.

Any of them should work, although you may need to update the baseband to match the firmware. Usually any limitations will be stated in the download thread for the firmware.
