Default Am I being too paranoid?

I got this phone he almost a week ago and I have already experienced some minor glitches. Sometimes it's really slow to react to touch. Sometimes things happen that I nevermeant to touch. Sometimes the gallery lags as well. Worst of all, sometimes when I Open the lock screen using either the home button or the side one, a couple of grey lines show up first before the lock screen like the screen or the LCD is broken. Should I have thus replaced? Sometimes the phone works perfectly. Or am I being too paranoid?

If you dial *#0*# the phone will display a screen with various tests, one of them a touch screen test. Going through the tests and checking your results might reveal a hardware problem.

Another obvious thing to check out when your phone acts weird would be to look at the running applications and try to kill them off one by one, maybe you'll find the culprit.

Other than that, there is the generic recommendation - update your firmware to the most recent one (september - KI3), though this might or might not void your warranty - not quite sure on this one, maybe someone else can chime in and enlighten us.

Alright, I'll try to do that. Thanks. I'm thinking about calling Samsung soon and getting this replaced. I didn't pay this amount of money to get this kind of phone. Any other suggestions?

I've had it a while and I'm glad to say I haven't had a hang yet!

Sounds bugged, but the gallery loading was always crap.
