My wife has just got the galaxy s2 and loves it,
But she has a problem,
every time she turns on Bluetooth the message tone activates,
can she turn this off?
its driving her mad.
we are both new to android

is it normal for this to happen
she says she is pritty sure it did not happen when she first got the phone,
and she has been playing with it alot, could she have enabled somthing.

I think it happens when pairable bluetooth devices are in range. Pretty sure it has always happened.
I've rooted and installed a custom ROM and it no longer happens on my phone. I appreciate that's a bit extreme just to solve your problem, but I think that's the only way to do it.

What BT are you using? I remember the cute voice on O2. But, I'd not heard that message for a long time now; I think it disappeared after the upgrade to 2.3.6.
I've been having the same problem, and it drives me mad! I can't find any setting to turn it off, but I have found a way around it:
I downloaded Bluetooth OnOff from Google Play. This is a widget, so after installing it you have to put the widget on your home screen (pick where you want to put it on your home screen, press and hold the screen until you're asked what you want to add, choose Widgets, then scroll down the list of available widgets until you find Bluetooth OnOff, select it and you're done!)
Once it's on the screen, press it to turn Bluetooth on, press again to turn off. No more annoying music, job done!
