Default Email accounts all gone

Today all my email accounts vanished without explanation. No notifications coming through, and if I launch the email app (just the default android one), it asks me to set up an account. I had 3 accounts there before.

I'm using ICS on SGS2. This wasn't immediately after the upgrade or anything as I've been using ICS for a while. The gmail app works fine.

Tried rebooting, and even restoring a backup from Titanium Backup, but made no difference, still no accounts.

I ended up entering all the information and preferences again, and it seemed to work, although when adding each account some messages popped up. First "Account deleted" (odd thing to say when ADDING an account!), then "Connection error". Despite those messages appearing for each account I added, they all seemed to work fine!

Anyone got any idea what's going on here and how to stop it from happening again?

Thanks,
Rob.

It just happened again. All my email accounts gone from the standard email app. Anyone got any ideas?

Earlier today I had trouble with my ADSL modem too, not connecting. I sorted that out eventually, but I wonder if this is related. That is, maybe the phone connected to my modem via wifi, and when it couldn't access the net, all the accounts went missing somehow, and didn't come back once the net was back?

Thanks,
Rob.

Have you tried...

Settings | Applications | "All" Tab | Email

Force Stop the app, Clear Data?

Do note, that this will remove your accounts and make the default app return to factory default settings... and you'll need to re-register your accounts.

Thank You! I fixed it ~ Not sure how I did though.

I so love this phone, SS Galaxy 2s! But it has a mind of it's own!

* Apps just up and walk off the phone
* All my contacts leave. All gone. Whenever they want!

And ~ now my emails!

Freakin annoying!!
