Default Another "help, my battery is screwed" thread!

Hey guys. Another battery question!

My S2 has been getting progressively worse on battery life, so I re-calibrated it. When I turned my phone back on, the battery instantly showed 96% and after 13 minutes my battery is down to 86%.

Firstly it was saying I had 2 minutes on the battery, then 5 minutes ago it was 8 minutes now it's 13 minutes.

I tried looking at other threads but it's all too techie for me and I basically don't have a clue, so if anyone could help me out and explain in real simple dummy terms, then that would be great!

You can install an app like GSAM and it should be able to tell you in basic terms whether your battery is healthy, although it sounds like you're pretty well convinced that it's not.

I just took over an 18-month-old S2, and indeed I was a little disappointed with its battery although I wasn't expecting miracles from a large-screened smart phone! However, I bought a new official battery through e-bay for under 5, and so far I have to say that battery life is back to a typical 'once a day' charge.
