Default Read only but only with open files in Windows

I joined today because you guys know a heck of a lot and I'd appreciate any support/tips here.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S2, very nice phone, and I can copy files to the SD card and internal memory without a hitch from Windows. The phone can read the files, edit and save files, 100% working perfectly.

A problem I've had since getting it a few months ago is I can copy a file to the phone's storage (internal and SD card), but when I access that file from a Windows computer, it's read only. The phone isn't read only, the SD card isn't read only, clicking properties on the file in Windows states it isn't read only - but it opens in read only mode. I've done this on three computers.

I've tried so many solutions it's impossible to tell you everything. I've rebooted, reinstalled, everything, but the same result.

As I say. Everything's fine on the read-write. The only problem is the files open in read only mode in Windows. I want to edit and save them from Windows.

Hope you can help!
