My problem is short and simple: There is no sound coming out through the back speaker of my phone.
My phone is black, but the two holes for sound are better seen on the white version, on the lower right of the case (Try googling it, as I'm new to these forums and apparently can't post pictures or URL's).
To sum things up, here's what I've tried so far:
Rooting/unrooting the phone;
Reinstalling stock ROM;
Playing around with the sound settings, until I got bored to near-death.
The front speaker (The one, which plays during calls) is functioning fine, and insterting headphones into the socket makes the sound work on the headphones.
My first guess: Hardware issues? I have no idea, as I've never had a problem like this before. I've actually never even had a problem with the lower part of an android phone in my life. Is there a possible fix for this?
I will try to do every bit of advice exactly by the letter.
Hello and welcome to Android Forums InterNovas
From what you say, it does sound like a hardware problem.
You can either take it to a Samsung Service Point to get it fixed, under warranty if you still are within 2 years of purchase, or you can attempt the repair yourself by following the video, (there are a number of these on YouTube), instructions, here....
