Default galaxy s2 on 3 mobile help pls

hi all im new... so if i say something stupid pls ignore it!!
i have had the s2 for around 16 months now and apart from a cracked screen which i replaced i have never had a problem until now...
my 4 yr old little monster spilled lemonade then sat my phone in it, im not talking a puddle just enough to wet the back of the phone.
i immediately pulled the battery ,sim,sd card and left in rice for 2 days.
when i took it out it turned, on but the screen flashed and then went black..if you pressed the lock button the screen still worked but i couldn't see anything.
i took the back off had a look for water damage (non visible) and on the advice of a local repair shop went over it with a hair dryer and put it back in the rice.
after another 24hrs the phone was working fine but now with no warning the screen is black again and is only visible for a second if you press the lock key...

sorry for the long post but can anyone think what else i could do or havent done to resurect my phone or has it gone for good?

thanks for reading
