Default Full device backup - what app can be used for complete device backup/restore

Picked up a new Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. What good reliable app is there to do a full and complete device back up of all data, applications and configurations with ease an also restore to a saved state.

The only way to accomplish this is to root the phone, install a custom recovery and perform a nandroid back up

If you do not want to root, the best option to to use App List Backup; this will create and save a list of your installed apps to your sdcard, this helps to restore and reinstall your apps quickly. Then use sms backup to backup your text messages (not MMS, just SMS). The only other thing is to make sure your contacts are backed up to gmail.
