I'm about to get a Skyrocket and am coming from an unlocked HTC Desire (Android 2.2). The HTC came with some useful widgets for turning the various networks off and on, but I'm not sure if these are part of Android or are specific to the HTC Sense interface.

Anyway, the toggle widgets include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Mobile Network. So are any similar widgets available on the Skyrocket, or are there some on the Android Market that are proven to work on this device?

I use the zdbox app. It works well for that with Widgets. There is also a default system widget that does the same

On the SR, when you pull down the notification page, there are toggles at the top for: wifi, bluetooth, GPS, flight mode, and screen rotation.

If you go with the stock launcher, there is a power management widget bar that you can put on your screen.

A good widget app is Widgetsoid, where you can create individual toggle widgets or you can also create a bar of toggle options.

If you have Tasker, you can create widgets that do just about anything you could want them to do. Tasker can do a TON more stuff, but if you were only going to use it for creating widgets, it probably isn't worth the $6.50 (especially when you can get Widgetsoid for free).

Midiman

The middle widget on this screen comes with the stock phone. As mentioned above, there are similar settings in the pull-down notification bar.
