I downloaded the app EQUALIZER not knowing that the SGH-I727/ICS 4.0.4 came already loaded with MusicFX. I would turn on EQUALIZER but could not get any presets to work. Then I found out that I had to go to SETTINGS/SOUND/MUSIC EFFECTS and select EQUALIZER. So far so good, but somewhere along the way, some instruction I was reading told me to delete MusicFX. I tried to accomplish this and I did get some warnings about some possibly bad juju if I dumped the program. But, I dumped it anyway. Now, when I go to SETTINGS/SOUND/MUSIC EFFECTS, I can no longer get the screen that shows any eq program (screen goes black), and then I get a popup that says "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped/OK". The last time I tried to run EQUALIZER I still could not hear any difference between the presets selection.

What must I do to resolve this problem - I want to be able to access MUSIC EFFECTS as before.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums, Stuart. Your phone the SGH-1727 is the Galaxy SII Skyrocket so I moved the thread to the appropriate forum for you.

Have you tried reinstalling MusicFX?
