Music Player Issues after ICS upgrade
I have a Galaxy S2 Skyrocket that I upgraded to ICS 4.0.4 using Kies. I am using a class 10 32 gig micro-SD card with about 19 gigs of music. I normally use the stock music player. I had no issues before the upgrade.
After the upgrade to ICS when I start playing music it will randomly stop playing. When opening a new music player session, the first song or 2 I play stop during the song. This typically happens 2 – 4 times, and then the player will play all night without issue. I have to manually start the song again and it starts back at the beginning of the song instead of remembering where it stopped.
I also tried using several other music apps, but they do they give similar issues as the stock music player.
When I originally upgrades to ICS, I was using a Class 4 Micro-SD card. I tried upgrading to the Class 10, but it did not have an effect.
I took it into Best Buy to have it “repaired” under their Geek Squad protection plan. Basically it seems like an exchange program. Tuesday night I took the phone to them, Thursday night I picked up what appears to be a new (probably refurbished) phone. Unfortunately this replacement phone is doing the same thing.
Funny thing is I got a loaner phone from Best Buy, a Galaxy S1, and with the same SD card, no issues with the music player. BUT it was running on 2.3.6.
I searched around to see if others are having the same issue and I’m really not seeing anything which is weird since I have seen it on 2 different phones.
Right now I am anxiously awaiting a JB update in the hopes that it will correct this issue.
