Seeing as Ice Cream Sandwich does not use hardware buttons (Menu, Home, Back) and they are part of the OS, I don't see it being feasible to port it to anything that was designed for older versions of the OS, but hey... anything is possible!

The one thing you have to learn about Samsung and T-Mobile is to be patient. The Vibrant took forever to get Froyo.

The S2 just came out. The Wi-Fi calling update hasn't even come out yet. I wouldn't hold my breath for 4.0 for months to come, if ever.

Also the Google phones usually hold exclusives on the new Android OS for a while. There'd be little incentive to buy one if they immediately pushed out 4.0 to all the other phones easier to get.

telus has come out and said that their version of the S2X will receive ICS in 2012, so im figureing as soon as the nexus comes out on their network they will upgrade the s2x as well. I am getting the s2x very soon, then unpaitently waiting for the ics update.

It will come out sooner though xda. I never wait for the carrier. Already in the process of being ported as source has been released (for the international s2)

I am glad to read that I was wrong about this. Telus will be releasing ICS for the S II X in 2012. The site only indicates 2012, no month, but at least I know it's coming and I don't have to sell my phone and buy the Nexus just to get 4.0!

I know!....I like some of the features of the s2x better than the nexus....like removeable SD, and upgradeable battery.

I have an iphone, and if I wanted another iphone, i can get the nexus. but I want something more user friendly..
