I just upgraded from a flip phone to an android phone. Loving the entire functionality of the android except the most basic function, the phone. On my flip phone, it would tell me on the screen if I missed a phone call or if I had voicemail. The flip phone would also beep at certain intervals to remind me until I took care of it. That was super helpful since I always missed calls. and

However, I realized on the android that they don't have any audible sounds to inform you that you have voicemail. There is only a tiny icon on the top saying there is voicemail. Is there any program or settings so that my phone would beep at certain intervals if I got voicemail?

And is there any settings for the phone so that my missed calls (who is calling and what time and number) will display in front of my screen until I closed it? Thanks.

I forgot to mention, I am on the prepaid t-mobile plan and therefore cannot use the t-mobile visual voicemail nor the youmail visual voicemail.

Hmm, I have the international version and I always get a notification sound when I get voice mail. It doesn't repeat so I can understand why it's probably hard to miss.
