Default Tmobile "Downloads" app - how to remove record of download

Howdy,
My T-Mobile Galaxy SII came with an app called "Downloads" which shows a historical record of what you have downloaded. It's like a web browser cache. So when I want to delete the records of downloads that are shown by that app, all files downloaded are deleted too: not good. I just want to delete the RECORDS of downloads shown in that app, not the downloaded files. Any help is appreciated.
