Default Problem with call quality when LAYING DOWN

Basically, when I'm laying down, and the phone isn't rightside up as it would be if you were sitting/standing upright holding it to your ear, the person on the other end has a very hard time hearing me.

For instance, last night I'm laying down watching TV and I get a phone call. I answer, HELLO? HELLO? HELLO? The can't hear me. They hang up and call back, same scenario except this time I sit up midways through the HELLO's and all of a sudden they can hear me.

Last time wasn't the first time this happened, just an example. It's been happening for the last year+. It's easy to duplicate these results.

Was wondering if this is a known issue and if there's anything that can be done about it. The mic isn't any further from my mouth than it would be when I'm sitting upright. I did some searching and found some people talking about this issue with the original Droid but nothing about why or how to resolve the issue.

Welcome to the forums Aalu

I have never heard that one before. Do you have the SGH-T989 model and which Android system are you using?

I dont have the problem. I'm just here to suggest maybe the phone needs to be calibrated since some phones have the option to "turn over to mute".
Just throwing out something. Maybe it'll help.
The calibration is in settings>display>gyroscope calibration.
