Default Cannot install apps with "Network communication: full internet access"

I am trying to install a remote desktop app, Pocketcloud, that will allow me to control my computer from my device.

I at first tried to download it from the Amazon App Store and the moment I hit install (from system dialog- not in the app store), it shows me the progress bar for a split second and then instantly transitions to "Application not Installed."

I then tried downloading it from the Android market. This time, it says "Error: Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card."

I've noticed that pocket cloud (and other remote desktop apps) require the permission "full internet access" and that my device must be automatically blocking it. However, once I go into the settings, I see nothing that might hinder its installation. Please help.

Android OS: 2.3.6
