All,

So the great thing about having forums is the ability to have great discussions and learn a lot from each other. The long of the short is that a year ago I lost my job and in order to cut costs I sold the HTC Inspire I used as a daily driver and used a cheap Go Phone as a weak, but thankfully inexpensive phone. I found another job and am back in the market for a smartphone. My upgrade status is not eligible until Oct and I really don't want to wait or buy a device for full cost. My son is turning 11 next month and I thought he could use my Go Phone as his first device along side his iPod Touch. So I'd like to add a line and use the phone from that line and replace mine. I'd like to keep costs down and it appears I can get a SGS2 for a good price. So I have read A LOT about the phone and almost feel like I know nothing, if that makes sense.

What are your opinions about the phone? I like the size and I don't mind the plastic as it is possibly more durable. Thoughts about the display, functionality are really what I am looking for. How is battery life? Software?

I know of no cons to this phone.

Unless you're with t-mobile. Their S2 has a larger screen and processor than the other S2's.
