i just purchased a galaxy s ii for straight talk but it seems that when i'm not in an area with wifi i can't use my data plan, i have the unlimited plan but when i try to use anything that requires to be used on the interent just tells me i can't i'm not connected with wifi....how do i surpass this obsticale or do i just deal!!?/

You probably need to update your APN settings (settings > more > mobile networks > access point names).

Do you have "use packet data" checked, under wireless and network setting>mobile networks?

thanks loafpincher i'll see if that works, and nonie yes i do have it checked, i'm currently working in the forum with straighttalk but it seems to be getting no where and i don't want to call the customer service, i always have a hard time understanding them

the sim card already came with the phone when i bought it through straight talk, so i assume i should pull the sim card out and then go from there
