Default Charging issues

I love my Galaxy and I am up for an upgrade but I am unsure if I want the S3 because of the issues I have had with my previous galaxies. After awhile it won't charge correctly. I have to put a pen or set it a certain way to get it to charge. I use my OEM charger and a Samsung car charger. Any suggestions on what to do or what other phone is simaliar? I DO NOT want another IPhone. Thanks!

Use a different USB cable. My Samsung cable stopped working properly a few months after I got the phone. Some say only to use Samsung branded cables but I got off brand replacement cables at Wal-Mart that work just fine.
I try to share my knowledge and experience. Please do your own research to find an appropriate solution for your situation.
