Weird icon on notification bar. What does it mean?

I updated and installed a few apps from the Play Store last night and now I have a new icon on my notification screen that I don't understand and can't get rid of. It looks like a price tag with a dash in it. Sometimes it replaces the name of my cellphone carrier and sometimes it doesn't. I'm on AT&T. Anyone got any ideas? thanks.

Do a screen shot and post it ....

Press power button and screen button at the same time. It's tricky but that's how to take a screen shot.

Or swipe the screen with the side of your hand. Much easier.
